Datalogging 101
The backbone of Chiptuning's R&D

What is datalogging and why do I need it ?
Lesson Highlights
Datalogging is a major part of Chiptuning, unfortunately it is often skipped. However datalogging is a crucial part of Research and Development. Those numbers allow the tuner to see what is happening inside the Electronic Control Unit. Just merely flashing a car and expecting gains or using feedback from what you ‘feel’ or ‘think’ is never as productive as using the data provided by datalogs.
In our courses we cover multiple topics:
- What is datalogging and why is it useful
- What should I datalog and why
- How can I make a good log and how can I see the difference with a bad one
- What do all these numbers mean
